We are pleased to share that Mactra Marine will be supporting our fundraising Transatlantic trip to raise funds in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, MS-UK, Mind, and St Helena.
Mactra Marine will be loaning us the essential 'water maker' device which will turn seawater into our drinking water.
We will likely be installing a Katadyn/Spectra PowerSuvivor 40E which will use battery power generated from our wind and solar panels to run the water maker for 1-2 hours a day. The unit will produce about 6 litres per hour and use approximately 4ah. It also has the facility to be used manually.
