Pyrotechnic Flares are required to be carried as a method of communicating distress visually. This flare pack include rocket, handheld, and floating smoke flares which can be seen for miles, day or night.
 
There is a list of essential safety and mechanical equipment needed to cross the Atlantic Ocean. I am trying to source most of this from suppliers/manufacturers using discounts and goods in kind but it's a pretty long list!
