A Thermal Protective Aid is an emergency hypothermia bag, or an extra emergency cover to go over a sleeping bag. Suitable for situations where life is threatened by loss of body heat.
 
I need to carry one onboard for our Atlantic Crossing.
 
There is a list of essential safety and mechanical equipment needed to cross the Atlantic Ocean. I am trying to source most of this from suppliers/manufacturers using discounts and goods in kind but it's a pretty long list!
